Coro

Coro emerged at the close of 2002, aiming to carve a niche in the nascent outdoor furniture design market. The press greeted Coro’s debut with resounding positivity, applauding the quality of imagery and the expression of the company’s philosophy.

At its core, Coro embodies an idea: “time to live in freedom.” This encapsulates our concept of furnishing—creating objects that offer a fresh perspective on the world, shaping the joy of living. Each piece is a unique expression of beauty, embodying true furniture in its essence. We strive for lightness in elements, minimalist forms, and harmonious proportions.

The inaugural collection, masterminded by Stefano Gallizioli, presented a comprehensive concept—from seating to BBQ. In 2006, Gallizioli introduced Nest, a sofa collection tailored for outdoor use, offering versatility in elements and dimensions to personalize any space.

Subsequent collaborations brought forth notable projects, including James Irvine’s Zeta collection and the partnership with young designers like JoeVelluto, initiated under Gala Wright’s direction.

In 2013, Ilaria Marelli unveiled Cocotte at Milan Salone—an armchair exuding softness and playfulness. Matteo Nunziati continued the trend at Milan 2014 with Sabal, a sofa range designed not merely as standalone items but as integral components of outdoor settings, serving multiple functions.

Since its inception in 2002, Coro has pursued a coherent and dynamic entrepreneurial strategy grounded in research and experimentation. This approach has positioned the company as an international benchmark in the realm of design.
